Formally a Wetherspoons pub, The Monarch is an old style pub that has been converted into a DJ bar that plays live music. With an array of famous people appearing on stage including Pete Doherty, The Peth featuring Rhys Ifans and members of The Super Furry Animals and a DJ set by Amy Winehouse, you can tell why it is a popular venue. It also offers a wide range of Thai food and great prices.
