Thursday 19th November – Sunday 20th December

City Centre

Over forty stalls are going to be taking part in this year’s Christmas markets. Hull welcomes traders from Germany who will bring their traditional arts and crafts to sell as well as the hugely popular combination of bratwurst sausages and hot Gluhwein.

Head Here
Queens Gardens, Jameson Street and King Edward Street are all taking part in the Christmas markets. Hull city centre will be feeling very festive as the seasonal events start to take hold. With the Christmas lights switch on, the markets open for business and Santas grotto will be in place around the fountain in Queen’s Gardens.

Gift Ideas
You will be able to take advantage of late night shopping hours in the run up to Christmas and you’ll be able to pick up some novel gifts at the German Christmas markets. Hull has many shops to pick up pressies but the German markets offer you more unusual gift ideas that are sure to be well received on the big day.

Cultural Exchange
It’s not just the business of buying and selling that will be on the agenda for the Christmas markets. Hull will be home to the German stall holders for the few weeks up until Christmas Day, so give them a warm welcome and, who knows, you might even make some new friends from the continent.
